About the Role:
- Deliver engaging, high-quality Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities to teach KS5
- Inspire students through a range of activities including performance, composition, listening, and appraisal
- Foster an inclusive and supportive atmosphere that encourages creativity and self-expression
- Participate in the development and delivery of a diverse and enriching Music curriculum
- Lead and support extracurricular activities such as school productions, choirs, bands, and concerts
- Promote a passion for music spanning various genres and cultural backgrounds
- Work collaboratively with the arts department to enhance student engagement and maintain high standards
The ideal candidate will:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK, or currently working towards it
- Degree in Music or a closely related field
- Confident classroom presence with the ability to motivate and inspire students
- Proficiency in at least one instrument; experience with music technology is preferred
- Creative and proactive approach to teaching and learning
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and effective teamwork
