About the Role:
- Create and sustain a safe and supportive learning environment where students feel secure and confident
- Set and uphold high behavioural expectations by promoting positive discipline through engaging teaching and strong relationships
- Plan lessons with clear structure, maintaining pace, motivation, and appropriate challenge for all learners
- Evaluate the extent to which learning objectives are met and use this insight to enhance teaching strategies
- Regularly assess and provide feedback on studentsandrsquo; work, setting clear targets to encourage progress
- Comply with the schoolandrsquo;s Assessment Policy to ensure consistent and effective evaluation practices
The ideal candidate will:
- Possess a recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS, ECT, or an overseas qualification equivalent to UK standards
- Up-to-date knowledge of the National Curriculum
- Strong commitment and proven ability to raise attainment across all key stages taught
- Previous experience teaching Music in secondary school settings
- Experience teaching Music to KS3 and KS4 is essential; teaching KS5 is desirable
