Responsibilities

• You will plan and deliver engaging Music lessons that encompass performance, composition, and critical listening, tailored to the Key Stage 3 and 4 curricula.
• The role involves expertly guiding students through musical theory, history, and diverse genres, fostering both their practical skills and their understanding of music's cultural significance.
• You will cultivate a creative and collaborative classroom where every student feels empowered to explore their musicality and develop their individual talents.
• You will contribute to the rich tapestry of the school's musical life, potentially leading and supporting extracurricular activities such as choirs and instrumental ensembles.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Music is essential.
• Experience teaching engaging and effective Music lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4 is highly desirable.
• Strong practical musical skills across a range of instruments or vocal disciplines, coupled with a solid understanding of music theory, are expected.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, alongside strong classroom management, are vital to creating a positive and inspiring musical learning environment.
