We are recruiting a Music Production Tutor to deliver engaging, practical lessons to 16-19-year-old learners on Level 1 and Level 2 vocational courses. This is a rewarding opportunity to help shape the next generation of producers, artists, and creatives in an inclusive, project-led learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging music production lessons using industry-standard software (preferably Logic Pro X)
- Support learners in completing creative projects, including showcases and public events
- Foster collaboration and high standards across music and other departments
- Monitor progress, complete ILPs, mark work, and provide constructive feedback
- Organise guest speakers, industry visits, and enrichment opportunities
- Contribute to learner retention, achievement, and progression targets
- Engage with parents/carers, attend meetings, and support open events
- GCSEs in Maths & English at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent Level 2)
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in music or a related field
- Experience working with young people (16+) in music education, youth work, or workshops
- Skills in composing/producing music across mainstream genres
- Empathy and understanding of challenges faced by young people from underserved communities
- Willingness to undertake (or currently hold) a teaching qualification - support will be provided
- Proficiency with Logic Pro X or similar DAWs
- Experience in the music or creative industries, ideally with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Track record of high-quality teaching or workshop delivery (Ofsted experience a plus)
- Positive, proactive, and confident in managing a creative learning environment
- Commitment to learner outcomes, wellbeing, and personal growth
