About the RoleWe are recruiting on behalf of a public sector client for two Museum Assistants - Facilities and Environment to support operations at a busy and well-established museum site.This is a varied and hands-on role combining facilities support, visitor services, security, and event delivery within a heritage setting. Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out daily building and safety checks, including fire alarms, emergency lighting, and maintenance reportingMaintain security and public safety across the museum, including galleries and external areasUndertake cleaning and housekeeping duties to a high standardProvide front-of-house support, including reception, shop duties, and cash handlingAssist with event setup and delivery, including room layouts and AV equipmentDeliver guided tours and visitor experiences where requiredSupport exhibition work, collections care, and general museum tasksMonitor systems such as CCTV, alarms, and building servicesAssist with contractor supervision and ensure health and safety complianceCarry out Fire Warden duties and support emergency proceduresContribute to educational activities and public events About YouExperience in a facilities, customer-facing, or operational roleStrong awareness of health and safety practicesA flexible and proactive approach to workGood communication and teamwork skillsAbility to carry out practical/manual tasksInterest in heritage, culture, or museums is desirable Additional InformationTraining provided (First Aid, ..... full job details .....
