Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

Yolk Recruitment is working with a leading manufacturer to recruit a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for their growing engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-invested production facility where engineers are genuinely rewarded for their development. Starting on -42,000, you''ll have the opportunity to increase your earnings through a structured competency framework, with salary progression available up to -50,000 as key engineering milestones are achieved.

You''ll play a key role in maintaining production performance, reducing downtime and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across a busy manufacturing operation.

What you''ll be doing

• Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across site machinery and production equipment.
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults efficiently to minimise downtime.
• Fault finding on PLC-controlled equipment, inverters, drives and control panels.
• Supporting continuous improvement projects to improve equipment reliability and performance.
• Completing maintenance documentation and ensuring accurate engineering records are maintained.
• Working in line with all health & safety procedures and engineering best practice.
• Contributing to the overall performance and reliability of the manufacturing operation.

What you''ll need

• Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience working with PLCs, control panels, drives and inverters.
• A proactive, hands-on approach to maintenance engineering.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Flexibility to work a 4 on 4 off rotating days and nights shift pattern.
