Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

This Multiskilled Engineer (with an Electrical bias) position in Pontefract involves maintaining and repairing equipment to keep production running smoothly in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry. Client Details Our client operates within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry. They are looking for an electrically bias Maintenance Engineer to join their team, ensuring that production lines run smoothly and efficiently. Description The successful candidate will be responsible for; Ensuring all factory premises, plant and equipment are maintained correctly and safely to a good working order. Responding to breakdowns in a quick, timely manner and complete associated paperwork. Pre-start production checks to be completed daily. Conduct continuous machine observation and measurement during the shift, identifying potential failure or deterioration in output, waste or quality performance from machine standards. Determining the cause of potential failure or performance deterioration, and either complete remedial work during the shift or brief the manager on the issue, cause and recommended solution. Adhere to company Health and Safety and Food Hygiene Policy. Ensuring audit works are actioned and recorded in line with management timelines. Preventing production downtime, accidents or injuries through planned preventative maintenance of equipment.
