Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Food Manufacturing

Salary: -48,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: Tuesday - Saturday, Days
Location: Aberystwyth, Wales

We are recruiting for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a leading food manufacturing business based in Aberystwyth.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established dairy manufacturer producing high-quality products within a modern food production environment. The business operates within a fast-paced FMCG setting, where engineering plays a key role in maintaining production performance, reliability, and continuous improvement.

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and availability of production machinery across the site.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance

• Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults

• Supporting production teams to minimise downtime

• Working on a range of food processing and packaging equipment

• Completing fault finding on machinery, sensors, motors, drives and control systems

• Assisting with continuous improvement projects

• Maintaining high standards of food safety, quality and engineering compliance

We are looking for an engineer with a strong electrical and mechanical background who is comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Multi-Skilled Engineer, or Engineering Technician

• Electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills

• Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, packaging, or process environments

• Knowledge of conveyors, production machinery, pumps, motors, pneumatics and automation

• A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with production teams

• -48,000 salary

• Permanent day shift - Tuesday to Saturday
