Multiskilled Fabrication Operative Location: Cottenham, CambridgeSalary: Competitive, depending on experienceJob Type: Full-TimeHours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am 3:30pmWorking Week: 40 hoursAbout the Role My client is currently looking for an experienced Multiskilled Fabrication Operative to join their busy and established manufacturing team based in Cottenham, Cambridge.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a good all-round understanding of sheet metal fabrication who is looking for a varied, hands-on role within a well-established engineering and manufacturing environment.The successful candidate will have experience working within a fabrication workshop, with knowledge of punching, folding and welding processes. You do not need to be highly skilled in every area, but you must have a good practical understanding of general fabrication work and be willing to support different areas of production.Key Responsibilities Operating and assisting with CNC punching machinery. Carrying out sheet metal folding and bending using press brake machinery. Undertaking general welding and fabrication duties. Working with sheet metal components to produce finished products. Reading and following engineering drawings and job specifications. Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet required standards.
