Multiskilled Engineer - Supervisor (FMCG)

As a Supervisor and multiskilled Shift Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of production machinery and site services within a fast paced food manufacturing environment. The role focuses on minimizing downtime, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting production targets. Client Details Our client is a major player within in the UK''s chilled ready meal manufacturers, producing retailer own-label ready meals and prepared foods, for some of the biggest food retailers in the Country. Description Lead on shift team of engineers (3 direct reports per shift) Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production and packaging equipment Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and perform effective fault diagnosis and repair Ensure all machinery operates in line with food safety and hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP) Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete all documentation Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize performance Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment Monitor and maintain utilities (e.g., steam, refrigeration, compressed air systems) Identify root causes of recurring faults and implement corrective actions Profile A successful Multiskilled Shift Engineer ..... full job details .....
