Multiskilled Engineer

We are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a food manufacturer for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer. This role involves maintaining, improving, and optimising manufacturing equipment and site services to maximum reliability and performance. The ideal candidate would be either electrically biased or multiskilled and have experience in food or wider FMCG.Maintenance Engineer Salary: 55,963Location: South ManchesterShift Pattern: Monday - Friday, one week rotating shift pattern of days (6am-2pm), nights (10pm-6am), afternoons (2pm-10pm). Key Responsibilities:Diagnose and repair a wide range of manufacturing equipment used in FMCG production whilst complying with health and safety requirements.Perform both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance, with a strong focus on minimising downtimeContribute to continuous improvement initiatives across operationsConduct fault finding on both electrical and mechanical systemsRequirements:Previous experience in a similar role (e.g. Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, Shift Engineer, Engineering Technician, Maintenance Technician, or Electrical Maintenance Engineer)Formal qualifications in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds), supported by relevant training and experienceExperience in fast paced industries such as food, packaging or wider FMCG.Good problem solving skills and a clear understanding of Root Cause Analysis.Strong PLC fault finding skillsIf this opportunity is of ..... full job details .....
