Multi-trader

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Multi-Trader to join our responsive repairs and maintenance team, working across our social housing portfolio. You'll carry out a variety of maintenance and repair works in occupied and void properties, helping to ensure residents' homes are safe, well-maintained, and completed to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out responsive repairs, planned maintenance, and void property works.
• Complete a range of trade tasks including:
  • Carpentry
  • Plumbing
  • Basic patch-plastering
  • Painting and decorating
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate job records using handheld devices or mobile apps.
• Deliver excellent customer service when working in residents' homes.
• Work independently while managing your daily workload.
• Report any safeguarding, health and safety, or property concerns.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Multi-Trader or Maintenance Operative.
• Strong skills across several trades, with carpentry or plumbing as a core trade preferred.
• Experience working within social housing, local authority, or residential maintenance is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to pass a DBS check (where required).

Desirable Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in a relevant trade.
• CSCS Card.
• Asbestos Awareness.
• Manual Handling.
• Working at Height.
• Health & Safety qualifications.
