Job Opportunity: Multi Trader / Carpenter – Small Works Department

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Multi Trader / Carpenter to join their Small Works team based at Heathrow Airport. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys variety, and can adapt to a fast-paced, secure environment.

You''ll play a key part in delivering maintenance, refurbishments, and minor construction projects across airside and landside areas, helping us keep Heathrow running smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

- Carry out carpentry works including stud walls, doors, architraves, skirting, ceilings, and flooring
- Undertake general multi-trade tasks including basic plumbing, patch plastering, painting, and minor repairs
- Respond to day-to-day maintenance requests and reactive repairs
- Support small refurbishments and fit-out works across terminals and operational buildings
- Ensure all works are delivered to a high standard, safely, and within deadlines
- Work collaboratively with other trades and site supervisors
- Maintain good housekeeping and follow all airport safety protocols and security procedures

Requirements:

- Proven experience in carpentry and multi-trade work (commercial or maintenance environment preferred)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and working within live environments
- Full UK driving licence (desirable)
- CSCS card required
- NVQ or City and guilds level 2 from a recognised trade background i.e. Carpentry, Painting and decorating or Plumbing etc.
- Must be eligible for Heathrow security clearance (clean criminal record and right to work in the UK)

What We Offer:

- depending on experience £18 - £25 per hour – 40-hour week (7.45 – 16.30)
- Position is fluid and as hourly paid salary moves in accordance with hours worked, no restrictions on hours / overtime
