Pay: -22.48 per hour (Paid weekly via umbrella)

Multiskilled Operative - Requirement Summary

We require an experienced Multiskilled Operative (minimum 3 years'' trade background) to deliver a high-pressure reactive service within occupied social housing. Only qualified, proven trades professionals - no DIY-level candidates.

Key Requirements & Experience

• Strong multiskilled capability across a range of trade tasks: Carpentry, Plumbing, Tiling, Plastering, Bricklaying, Fencing, Flooring, Groundworks.
• Essential experience working in occupied social housing.
• Must be local to the area - company vehicle is provided strictly for work use (vehicles are tracked for lone working/H&S purposes as well as to prevent misuse of company property).
• Must be fully vetted; no returns of previous workers unless specifically requested by the client.

Workload & Environment - Reactive responsive service:

• Standard repairs turnaround: 30 days
• Emergency callouts: 24 hours

High-volume environment:

Over 8,000-property and garage stock

Approx. 1,500 reactive repairs per month

20,000 repairs completed last year

Voids work: bringing properties to lettable standard, sometimes following extremely poor living conditions (e.g., hoarding, drug misuse).

Contract & Hours

Reviewed every 12 weeks; potential for rolling extensions

Hours vary: 8am-4pm or 8:30am-5pm, with 3:30 finish Fridays (37 hours/week)

Locations covered: Corby, Kettering and Wellingborough (Northamptonshire)

Approximately 60 operatives on rota currently - requires reliability to support cover during holidays/sickness.
