Multi-Trade Operative - Social Housing Repairs

The Opportunity We are recruiting an experienced Multi-Trade Operative for a local government client in North London. You will carry out responsive repairs, planned maintenance, renewals, and refurbishment works across occupied and void properties. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable tradesperson who can diagnose faults, complete high-quality repairs and deliver a right-first-time service. Key Responsibilities Complete building repairs, maintenance, renewals and replacements. Work across carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, painting and decorating, with other trade skills welcomed. Carry out responsive repairs and refurbishment works in occupied and void properties. Identify faults and select safe, practical and cost-effective solutions. Complete work to current standards, regulations and agreed quality requirements. Maintain accurate job records, timesheets, material schedules and requisitions. Follow safe working practices and all health and safety procedures. What You Will Need A completed apprenticeship, City and Guilds or NVQ qualification, or demonstrable time-served experience. Proven experience in at least two relevant trades, such as carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling or decorating. Experience completing reactive repairs, planned maintenance or refurbishment work. The ability to diagnose building faults and complete repairs to a high standard. Operatives must hold a full, clean UK driving licence.
