We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi Trade Operative to join a well-established social housing contractor on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term position with a reputable company that offers a competitive salary and a great benefits package.

Working across occupied social housing properties throughout Bedfordshire, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of planned and reactive maintenance works while delivering a high standard of workmanship and excellent customer service.

• Carry out fencing repairs and new fence installations.
• Complete basic brickwork repairs.
• Undertake painting and decorating works.
• Perform carpentry repairs, including:
  • Skirting board installation and repairs.
  • Floorboard repairs.
  • Internal door fitting and adjustments.
• Carry out gutter repairs and general external maintenance.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
• Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all health and safety regulations.
• Communicate professionally with tenants and colleagues while providing excellent customer service.
• Complete relevant job documentation accurately.

• Previous experience working as a Multi Trade Operative within social housing, property maintenance, or a similar environment.
• Competent across a range of trade disciplines, particularly carpentry, fencing, decorating, and basic brickwork.
• Experience working in occupied properties.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• A positive and professional approach to customer service.
