      <description>Location: Backworth | Salary: &amp;pound;48800 - &amp;pound;48810/annum | Type: Permanent | Mechanical Engineer – Weekend Shift   FMCG Manufacturing | Newcastle upon Tyne   Scantec Recruitment is working in partnership with a leading FMCG manufacturing business near Newcastle to recruit a Mechanically Biased Maintenance Engineer for their weekend engineering team.  Production does not run at weekends, so this role is heavily focused on planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and project work. You’ll be part of a small, close-knit engineering team, supporting the site through scheduled maintenance, improvements and CAPEX activity.  The role is predominantly mechanical, with some basic electrical fault-finding and maintenance required.
