Shift Times: 06:30-18:30 & 18:30-06:30

The Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi Skilled Shift Engineer to join a high-quality commercial site in London (EC2V)
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong mechanical and electrical maintenance background who is comfortable working within a 24/7 critical environment and operating on a continental 4-on, 4-off shift pattern.
You will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, fault finding and responding to alarms and critical incidents, ensuring the building''s M&E systems remain safe, operational and compliant.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults.
- Maintain and monitor critical building services and M&E plant.
- Complete maintenance tasks safely and efficiently under time pressure.
- Work closely with contractors, site management and the wider engineering team.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and provide clear shift handovers.
- Follow all health & safety procedures and site compliance requirements.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 3-5 years'' experience in a technical engineering role within a commercial building, critical environment, data centre or high-end corporate site.
- Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance experience; multi-skilled engineers are preferred.
- Experience working within a 24/7 environment on a shift basis.
- Confident carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance.
- HVAC systems, including AHUs, FCUs and ventilation.
- Electrical distribution, lighting and power systems.
- Pumps and motors.
- BMS controls and basic fault finding.
- Plumbing and general M&E plant.
- Ability to prioritise alarms, callouts and critical incidents effectively.
- Comfortable coordinating with contractors and maintaining safe working practices.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Professional and confident when dealing with clients and site management.
Qualifications & Certifications
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 18th Edition qualification for electrically biased engineers.
- City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent relevant trade certification.
- CSCS or ECS card.
- Right to Work documentation.

- Comfortable working 12-hour day and night shifts.
- Able to provide clear and accurate shift handovers.
- Professional and client-facing in their approach.
