Job Title: Multi-Skilled Operative
Type: Contract / Perm
Location: Bridgend
Salary: £25,790.00-£28,561.00 per year (or equivalent)
Hours: Full Time 35 Hours
BRC are proud to be working in partnership with a respected social housing provider based in South Wales. We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable individual to join their team to assist with a range of minor adaptations, repairs, general maintenance, and building works in domestic properties.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on experience in property maintenance and a passion for improving the living conditions of social housing tenants.
Duties:
- Carrying out minor adaptations such as installing handrails, grab rails, or ramps.
- Conducting general property repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Completing small-scale building works to ensure homes are safe and functional.
- Responding promptly and professionally to maintenance requests.
- Ensuring all work is carried out to a high standard and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Communicating effectively with tenants and staff to minimise disruption during works.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar maintenance or multi-trade role.
- Strong knowledge of domestic repairs, building works, and adaptations.
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
- Excellent customer service skills and a respectful, professional manner when working in tenants'' homes.
- Full UK driving licence (desirable).
- Relevant trade qualifications (preferred but not essential).
