This role offers the chance to become the sole engineer on site, taking ownership of maintenance activities across a 4-hectare commercial glasshouse operation producing high-quality tomatoes using a blend of traditional growing methods and modern technology.The successful engineer will work closely with the Growing Manager and have the opportunity to learn from the current engineer ahead of their retirement, providing a structured handover and excellent training opportunity. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys autonomy, variety, and a hands-on approach to maintenance.You will be responsible for carrying out both reactive and planned maintenance across a range of equipment including irrigation systems, motors, pumps, heating systems, hydraulic scissor lifts, plastic pipework, and specialist glasshouse equipment.
