Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

My client are a leading manufacturer and supplier of packaging based in Cambridgeshire. As a privately owned family business, they have grown quickly over the last 10 years and continue to be at the forefront of packaging innovation and design. As an Electrical-Bias Multi-Skilled Engineer your role will be to carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and responding to breakdowns across the manufacturing facility. Working closely with other departments on a variety projects and process improvements. Day to Day Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Leading electrical fault finding on machinery, control panels, sensors, and drives Supporting mechanical maintenance including conveyors, bearings, belts, and gearboxes Identifying and implementing improvements to increase reliability and efficiency Conducting site assessments and recommending remedial actions Minimising downtime and ensuring smooth dayto-day operations Assisting with installation and commissioning of equipment when required Supporting general site/building maintenance when required, with shop floor machinery as the main priority Ideally you will have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role within a fast-paced manufacturing or FMCG environment. You will need to be strongly electrically biased (70% electrical / 30% mechanical) and ideally have experience working with packaging or automated machinery.
