Are you a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias? Do you have experience fault finding on PLC-controlled machinery?

This well-established manufacturer has experienced significant growth in recent years and continues to invest heavily in its production facilities, equipment and engineering team. Due to continued expansion, they are looking to recruit a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to support the ongoing reliability and performance of their manufacturing operation.

In this role, you will carry out planned preventative maintenance across a wide range of automated production equipment, helping maximise machine uptime and minimise downtime. Whilst there will be reactive maintenance and fault finding responsibilities, there is a strong emphasis on proactive maintenance, continuous improvement and equipment reliability. You will also be responsible for diagnosing electrical faults, including PLC fault finding, whilst working closely with production teams to maintain high manufacturing standards.

The Role:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production machinery
• Diagnosing electrical faults and carrying out reactive maintenance when required
• PLC fault finding and electrical troubleshooting on automated manufacturing equipment

The Person:

• Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias
• Experience within food manufacturing, FMCG or another fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent)
• Live local or willing to commute to Gateshead
