Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer Days

Overview:

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading food manufacturing business for a skilled and motivated-Shift Engineer-to join their engineering team in Sunderland. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong technical expertise and a proactive approach to maintenance and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns.
• Investigate faults and contribute to long-term corrective actions.
• Support operator maintenance and provide technical guidance.
• Ensure tools and consumables are available for maintenance tasks.
• Accurately document repairs and escalate unresolved issues.
• Assist in training and mentoring new team members.
• Promote food safety and sustainability practices.

Requirements:

• Time-served engineer with HNC or ONC qualification.
• Strong understanding of health & safety and compliance.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
