Field Service Engineer - Heavy Plant Machinery Location: UK Wide - ideally based between the Midlands and SloughSalary: £45,000 basic + overtime Hours: 7am-5pm, Monday-FridayBenefits: Company Van, Laptop, Phone, Pension, Life Assurance, 20 Days + Bank Holidays The Opportunity We are recruiting for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a successful specialist machinery business operating across the UK. The company imports, distributes and services mechanical handling and processing machinery within the waste and recycling, construction and scrap metal sectors. This is a varied field-based role working on excavators, shredders, crushers, conveyors and other heavy plant machinery. Extensive in-house training and genuine progression opportunities are available. The Role You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault-finding and repairing heavy plant and processing machinery at customer sites throughout the UK. The role will involve planned and reactive maintenance, breakdown response, inspections, servicing and providing technical support to customers. The Candidate We are looking for someone with hands-on experience working on heavy plant, agricultural, construction, recycling, quarrying or similar machinery. Formal qualifications are not essential, with practical experience and strong mechanical fault-finding skills being the priority.
