Field Service Engineer - Heavy Plant MachineryLocation: UK Wide - ideally based between the Midlands and Slough Salary: 45,000 basic + overtime Hours: 7am-5pm, Monday-Friday Benefits: Company Van, Laptop, Phone, Pension, Life Assurance, 20 Days + Bank HolidaysThe OpportunityWe are recruiting for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a successful specialist machinery business operating across the UK. The company imports, distributes and services mechanical handling and processing machinery within the waste and recycling, construction and scrap metal sectors.This is a varied field-based role working on excavators, shredders, crushers, conveyors and other heavy plant machinery. Extensive in-house training and genuine progression opportunities are available.The RoleYou will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault-finding and repairing heavy plant and processing machinery at customer sites throughout the UK. The role will involve planned and reactive maintenance, breakdown response, inspections, servicing and providing technical support to customers.The CandidateWe are looking for someone with hands-on experience working on heavy plant, agricultural, construction, recycling, quarrying or similar machinery. Formal qualifications are not essential, with practical experience and strong mechanical fault-finding skills being the priority.You will need to be comfortable working independently, dealing with customers and travelling throughout the UK.
