Job Description: Maintenance Engineer
Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to support the ongoing growth of our operations within the window manufacturing sector. This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving a range of production machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across all site machinery
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs on:
- Sensors, relays, and drives
- Inverters
- CNC machinery
- Saws
- Plastic welders
- Blasting machines
- Ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering function
- Work closely with the Engineering Manager and production teams
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a maintenance engineering role
- Strong electrical and/or mechanical fault-finding skills
- Experience working with industrial machinery (CNC, drives, etc.)
- Background in fenestration (windows/doors manufacturing) is advantageous but not essential
- Time-served engineers welcome - formal qualifications are not required
Training & Development
- Comprehensive training will be provided
- Opportunities for progression will depend on business growth over the next 12 months
Reporting Structure
- Reports directly to the Engineering Manager
Working Hours & Shift Pattern
- 40 hours per week
- Afters shift pattern:
- Monday to Thursday: 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM
- Friday: 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: -39,520 per annum
- Overtime / shift allowance: Not applicable
- Pension: NEST scheme
- Health: Health scheme provided
- Holidays: 20 days + 8 bank holidays
