Job Description: Maintenance Engineer



Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to support the ongoing growth of our operations within the window manufacturing sector. This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving a range of production machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across all site machinery
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs on:
  • Sensors, relays, and drives
  • Inverters
  • CNC machinery
  • Saws
  • Plastic welders
  • Blasting machines
• Ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering function
• Work closely with the Engineering Manager and production teams

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in a maintenance engineering role
• Strong electrical and/or mechanical fault-finding skills
• Experience working with industrial machinery (CNC, drives, etc.)
• Background in fenestration (windows/doors manufacturing) is advantageous but not essential
• Time-served engineers welcome - formal qualifications are not required

Training & Development

• Comprehensive training will be provided
• Opportunities for progression will depend on business growth over the next 12 months

Reporting Structure

• Reports directly to the Engineering Manager

Working Hours & Shift Pattern

• 40 hours per week
• Afters shift pattern:
  • Monday to Thursday: 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM
  • Friday: 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: -39,520 per annum
• Overtime / shift allowance: Not applicable
• Pension: NEST scheme
• Health: Health scheme provided
• Holidays: 20 days + 8 bank holidays
