Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Salary: £42,000 + 13% Night Shift Uplift
Shifts: Rotating Early / Late / Nights – Monday to Friday (40 hours/week)

We're recruiting electrically biased, multi-skilled maintenance engineers for a major logistics site that runs cutting-edge automation and high daily throughput. If you’ve worked on conveyors, control panels, and automated machinery and thrive in a fast-paced setting — this is an opportunity worth exploring.

The Role

• Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on conveyor systems, sorters, and tipping equipment

• Work across electrical and mechanical systems, including control panels, drives, motors, and PLCs

• Respond quickly to faults to minimise operational downtime

• Replace belts, chains, bearings, and other key components

• Liaise closely with control room staff, section leaders, and managers to ensure coordinated responses

• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activity and shift handovers

• Ensure all work meets Health & Safety and company standards

What We’re Looking For

• Recognised qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (City & Guilds or equivalent)

• Strong background in electrical/mechanical maintenance

• Solid understanding of PLC-controlled systems (e.g. Siemens, Allen-Bradley)

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics

• Familiarity with 16th, 17th, or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

• Experience in fast-paced environments such as logistics, manufacturing, or sortation

• Clear communicator, team-focused, and adaptable under pressure

• Full UK driving licence

The Offer

• £42,000 base salary

• 13% uplift for night shifts

• Monday to Friday only – no weekend working
