Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Role: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical Bias)
Location: Murton, York
Salary: -50,000a + on call allowance & OT

Hours: Monday - Friday Days
On-Call Cover: 1 week in 3 (rotational basis)

Platinum Recruitment are working in partnership with a leading animal feed manufacturer based in Murton, York. We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their growing team.

Role Requirements?

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a wide range of production equipment & machinery
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns
• Diagnosing & repairing mechanical & electrical faults
• Working with PLCs, motors, gearboxes, conveyors & other automated systems
• Supporting the installation & commissioning of new machinery
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations at all times
• Keeping accurate maintenance records & logs
• Participating in continuous improvement projects & fault analysis
• Providing on-call support as part of a rota (1 in 3 weeks)

Skills Required?

• Time-served apprenticeship / relevant qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND)
• Strong mechanical & electrical maintenance experience
• Proven experience in a manufacturing or process environment
• Ability to read engineering drawings & schematics
• Good problem-solving and fault-finding skills
• Experience with automated systems or PLCs is a bonus
• Previous experience in animal feed, food production, or similar industries
