We are currently recruiting for Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers to join a growing engineering team within a busy FMCG packaging and distribution environment.

The business is expanding and investing in its engineering function, offering excellent long-term progression opportunities within a well-structured maintenance team.

Role Overview

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of automated production and packaging equipment to ensure maximum plant availability and performance.

While an electrical bias is preferred, candidates with a strong mechanical background will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across site machinery

• Respond to reactive breakdowns to minimise production downtime

• Maintain and repair automated bagging, conveying, and packaging equipment

• Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives

• Work collaboratively with production teams to maintain operational efficiency

Experience & Qualifications

• Relevant engineering qualifications (Mechanical or Electrical)

• Previous experience in an FMCG manufacturing environment

• Experience working with automated production machinery

• Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Team Structure

• Work alongside a team of 5 engineers

• Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: -46,350

• Shift Pattern: 3-Shift Rotation

• Hours: 41.5 per week

• Holidays: 25 days + Bank Holidays

• Pension: 9% employer contribution / 5% employee contribution
