Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £58,000 per annum Shift Pattern (2-Week Rotation): Twilight Shift Monday to Friday, 16 00 Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role plays a key part in maintaining production efficiency within a fast-paced poultry processing and packaging operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for responding swiftly to breakdowns, delivering planned preventative maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement projects across the site, with a particular focus on mechanical maintenance and reliability. The position involves working on a wide range of processing and packaging equipment including conveyors, module and tray transport systems, plucking equipment, evisceration machinery, tray sealers, flow wrappers and vacuum sealing machinery. This is a hands-on role requiring strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills, combined with a good understanding of electrical systems to support efficient fault diagnosis and minimise downtime. Responsibilities include carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance, replacing and repairing mechanical components, bearings, chains, gearboxes, motors, pumps and conveyor systems, as well as supporting production teams during breakdown situations. The role will also involve undertaking machinery modifications, installation work and small engineering projects.
