Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

A well-established and successful manufacturer in Greater Manchester is seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join their engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and growing manufacturing business, working across a range of production machinery and equipment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining plant reliability, reducing downtime and supporting ongoing improvements across the site. Key Responsibilities of a Maintenance Engineer:Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on production machinery and equipment.Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise production downtime.Fault-find on PLC and HMI-controlled machinery.Undertake electrical installation work, including single-phase and three-phase systems.Support the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.Maintain electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.Identify opportunities to improve machinery reliability and overall plant performance.Work closely with production teams to resolve breakdowns and maintain operational efficiency.Ensure all maintenance activities comply with current health and safety legislation.
