Location: Witham

Salary: -34,000 - -38,500

Shift Pattern: Weekly rotation - 05:15-14:00 & 14:00-22:30 - Saturday overtime required on a rotational basis to support production

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and multi-skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our client''s team and ensure the smooth operation of their busy site. This is a hands-on role where you''ll be the go-to person for troubleshooting maintenance issues.

• Oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of the site
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and building issues promptly
• Complete routine repairs, upgrades, and preventative maintenance on all equipment
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues before they occur
• Maintain overall site cleanliness and safety standards
• Act as the designated first aider (full training provided)
• Respond quickly to any issues that may disrupt daily operations
• Support the wider team with maintenance-related queries and solutions

• Previous experience in a similar maintenance role OR demonstrable maintenance skills evidenced in your CV
• Full UK driving licence (essential due to shift patterns)
• Strong problem-solving abilities and hands-on approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexibility to respond to urgent maintenance issues
• Basic electrical knowledge (full electrician qualification not required)

• Forklift licence (training can be provided if needed)
• Experience across multiple trades/industries
• First aid certification (though training will be provided)

Please note; due to the hours / shift pattern; if you do not reside in central Witham; you will need to be a car driver as public transport does not serve the site based on the hours.
