Multi-Skilled Engineer (Night Shift)Commutable from Ramsey, Huntingdon, St Ives, Peterborough, Chatteris, March and St NeotsSalary: 50,000 - 60,000Shifts: 4 on 4 off, 3pm to 3am, or Monday to Friday, 5pm to 2amWe''re recruiting on behalf of a well-established food manufacturing business for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to lead engineering on nights, driving breakdown response, maintenance excellence, and continuous improvement across site.Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you''ll be the senior engineering presence on shift, taking full responsibility for team performance and working hands-on alongside your engineers on factory equipment.What you''ll be doing:Prioritising maintenance and breakdown activity to maximise uptimeActing as the key decision-maker and point of contact on site overnightCarrying out fault-finding, troubleshooting, and root cause analysisImplementing and optimising PPM schedules, with accurate CMMS and stock controlIdentifying engineering upgrades that improve efficiency, sustainability, and OEESupporting capital projects and new machinery integrationWorking cross-functionally with production and factory managementEnsuring full compliance with health and safety, including PUWER, LOLER, and DSEARWhat we''re looking for:Engineering experience in manufacturing or food productionStrong mechanical and electrical knowledge, with first-class diagnosticsExperience with PPM, reliability-centred maintenance, and CI techniquesPrevious leadership or supervisory ..... full job details .....
