Forgewell Partners are currently supporting a well-established food manufacturing business in Gainsborough who are looking to add a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to their engineering team as part of ongoing investment across the site.

The role sits within a busy production environment where engineering plays a key part in keeping operations running efficiently. The team is made up of practical, hands-on engineers who work closely with production, focusing not just on reactive breakdowns but also preventative maintenance and improving reliability across the plant.

The position will involve working on a variety of production and automated equipment including conveyors, chillers and packaging machinery. From an electrical perspective you’ll be fault finding on motors, drives, sensors and PLC-controlled machinery, while also supporting mechanical maintenance across the site including hydraulics and pneumatics.

The site operates on a days-only Panama shift pattenr and you'll work 7 out of the 14 days, which provides good structure and work-life balance compared to many engineering roles. The business also places a strong focus on developing their engineers through training and internal progression opportunities.

The ideal candidate will be a multi-skilled engineer with a strong electrical bias, comfortable fault finding in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and happy working across both electrical and mechanical maintenance.

To be considered:

• Experience working as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
• Strong electrical fault-finding ability
• Experience with PLCs, motors, drives, sensors
• Mechanical maintenance experience including pneumatics and hydraulics
• Background in manufacturing, FMCG or industrial environments
• Understanding of safe isolation and permit to work systems
