Multi Modal Freight Leader/Supervisor

Our client is a well-established and very successful freight forwarder offering a global freight service. Operating from a strong financial base and with direct access to the vast resources of a large and successful group specialising in international logistics and distribution. We are now looking for Senior Freight Operations lead to join the team at their offices in Dover.Your role will involve processing and management of a range of European and UK road freight, seafreight and airfreight shipments, all from start to finish, using acquired skills to negotiate commercial pricing, place bookings, accurately raise shipping documentation and manage customer issuesThe role is a senior role in operations department with responsibility for 2 members of staffMain responsibilities include. Manage road freight / seafreight / airfreight booking process with customers and suppliers. Obtain and process pricing enquiries for all forms of transport. Operate internal operations system, on-line booking and sales platforms, customs documentation. Manage sales and cost reconciliation on a shipment by shipment basis. Raise accurate operational documentation such as AWBs, Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin and EUR1''s with great attention to detail. Face to face customer meetings where required with specific objectives and results to achieve. Weekly and Monthly reporting on various operational statistics.
