Spencer Clarke Group are working in partnership with a Local Authority in the Wakefield area to recruit a Multi-Agency Child Protection Team Service Manager on a permanent basis.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced Children''s Social Care professional to lead the Multi-Agency Child Protection Team, driving high standards of safeguarding practice while working collaboratively with key partner agencies to protect children and improve outcomes across the service.
The Role
As the Multi-Agency Child Protection Team Service Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across key safeguarding functions, ensuring child protection investigations are delivered effectively, statutory responsibilities are met and services continue to develop in line with national guidance and best practice.
Working as part of the Children''s Social Care Senior Management Team, you will lead multidisciplinary teams, influence partnership working and support the continuous improvement of safeguarding services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and management of the Multi-Agency Child Protection Team.
- Oversee high-quality child protection investigations and safeguarding practice.
- Lead and develop effective multi-agency partnerships across Children''s Services.
- Drive service improvement, quality assurance and performance.
- Lead, motivate and develop managers and frontline practitioners.
- Manage service budgets, resources and performance.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of Children''s Social Care.
- Ensure services remain compliant with legislation, statutory guidance and safeguarding standards.
About You
To be successful, you will have:
- A recognised Social Work qualification with current Social Work England registration.
- Significant senior management experience within Children''s Social Care.
- Extensive knowledge of safeguarding and child protection legislation.
- Experience leading complex safeguarding services within a Local Authority.
- A proven ability to build effective multi-agency relationships and lead service improvement.
- Strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
