The MRC Laboratory of Medical Sciences (LMS) is a biomedical research institute where scientists and clinicians collaborate to advance the understanding of biology and its application to medicine. LMS is one of three directly funded MRC research institutes and enjoy close links with our partners at Imperial College London and at the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.About the role

Are you a molecular biologist excited to dive into the world of computational genomics? Join our team to work at the interface of cutting-edge wet lab techniques and data-driven discovery. This position is ideal for a candidate with a strong foundation in molecular biology who is eager to expand into computational biology. The role offers the opportunity to work hands-on with innovative single-cell and spatial technologies, while being supported in developing programming and data analysis skills. Projects may include generating and analysing complex genomic datasets for different processes (e.g., development, disease, genome regulation), contributing to method optimisation, and engaging in collaborative research initiatives across the institute.About you

We’re looking for a curious and driven scientist to join the Developmental Epigenomics group. The group, led by Juanma Vaquerizas, explores how the genome is regulated during development and disease. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience in molecular biology methods (e.g., single-cell sequencing, CRISPR/Cas9, microscopy). Basic computational skills (R, Python) are desirable.What we offer
