Moulding Setter/ Supervisor

Due to continued growth and expansion, an excellent opportunity has arisen within one of our long established clients for a Moulding Setter/Supervisor to join thier night shift team on a permanent basis in Rochester.

The position would suit an experienced Setter looking to progress into supervision, or an established Supervisor who enjoys a hands-on technical role.

Hours: Monday-Thursday, 5:45pm-4:00am (39 hours per week)

The Role

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient running of the night shift, leading a team of 6 operators.

Key responsibilities include:

• Setting and operating injection moulding machines.
• Carrying out mould tool changes.
• Troubleshooting machine, mould and process issues.
• Optimising cycle times and production efficiency.
• Ensuring quality standards and production targets are met.
• Leading and supporting the night shift team.
• Maintaining high Health & Safety and housekeeping standards.
• Completing production and quality records.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

What We''re Looking For

Essential:

• Previous Injection Moulding Setter or Technician experience.
• Strong knowledge of injection moulding and troubleshooting.
• Experience with mould tool changes.
• Good understanding of quality and manufacturing procedures.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions on night shift.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, hands-on approach.
• High commitment to Health & Safety.

Desirable:

• Supervisory or team leader experience.
• Experience with automation, robots and ancillary equipment.
• Lean/continuous improvement experience.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 / ISO 14001.
• Forklift licence - training available.
