MOT Tester-Vacancy in Swindon
We are collaborating with a respected Independent Automotive Service Centre in Swindon to recruit a skilled MOT Tester. - Perform MOT tests on customer vehicles in line with Ministry standards, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Diagnose and repair vehicles, providing support in the workshop when required
- Maintain accurate service and repair documentation
- Work closely with team members to facilitate a smooth workflow in the workshop
- Stay informed of industry regulations and technical advancements relevant to MOT testing
- Assist with vehicle safety inspections and minor repairs as instructed
- Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols within the workshop environment
- Valid and active Class 4 and 7 MOT testing licences; application for the MOT Tester position-requires current licence status.
- UK Driving Licence, with minimal points
- IMI/NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is preferred
- Alternatively, extensive hands-on mechanics experience with an active MOT licence will be considered
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
- Ability to work efficiently within deadlines and accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Good understanding of vehicle safety standards, diagnostics, and the MOT testing process
