MOT Tester

We are working on behalf of a reputable used car dealership in Avonmouth, Bristol, to recruit a skilled and experienced MOT Tester. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional looking to join a well-established company with long-term career prospects.
The role of MOT Tester in Avonmouth involves delivering comprehensive MOT testing services in accordance with government standards, ensuring customer safety and satisfaction. The successful individual-will also be responsible for diagnosing vehicle issues, performing related repairs, and supporting the workshop team to maintain efficient operations.

• Salary up to -38,000 per annum, dependent on experience
• 45-hour per week, Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm
• 31 days annual leave, increasing with service to 35 days

Duties of the MOT Tester:

• Conduct MOT tests on various vehicles adhering to government standards
• Diagnose faults and carry out associated repairs and servicing
• Maintain accurate completion of MOT documentation
• Liaise with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow within the workshop
• Support workshop operations as needed to meet customer service standards

Requirements of the MOT Tester:

• Valid Class 4 and Class 7 MOT testing licence
• A clean UK driving licence with minimal points
• Ideally qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair; individuals-with extensive hands-on experience and active MOT licence will also be considered
• Good team player with excellent communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently and maintain high standards of vehicle safety and compliance
