Our client is a Fantastic business with and excellent reputation in the industry. Due to expansion they are looking to hire a qualified MOT Tester for our busy dealership near Wincanton.

Role and Responsibilities of MOT Tester

• Carry out MOT testing
• Communicate directly with customers to identify / understand concerns with vehicle running performance and to advise about technical issues
• Road test vehicles on completion of repair / service work, also accompanying customers for demonstration of vehicle concerns or faults
• Receive ongoing manufacturer training, both in-house and external training centres
• Support others around the business by performing to the best of your ability
• Be part of the reason our customers keep on coming back!

The ideal candidate:

• Experience as a MOT Tester
• Possesses technical knowledge of a range of vehicle makes and models
• Able to communicate clearly with customers and colleagues alike
• Demonstrates a strong customer focus and takes pride in delivering a high-quality experience that is second-to-none
• Is well-presented and able to engage and build positive relationships with customers and colleagues
• Can work quickly, while maintaining quality assurance in order to maximise workshop capacity
• Thrives and remains calm under pressure, whilst meeting deadlines

Key requirements:

• Qualified & experienced MOT Tester (essential)
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
• A desire to provide exceptional customer experiences
• Computer literate and can easily learn new systems

Working pattern:

• Monday – Friday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
• Every other Saturday: 8:30am – 12:30pm
