The Role
As an MOT Tester / Vehicle Tester, you''ll play a key role within the workshop, ensuring vehicles meet the highest safety and manufacturer standards while supporting the service department with inspections and light mechanical work.
Your responsibilities will include:
·Carrying out Class 4 MOT tests in line with DVSA regulations
·Completing vehicle health checks and reporting repair requirements
·Performing light servicing and PDI inspections
·Inspecting brakes, tyres, suspension, steering, lighting and electrical systems
·Completing accurate workshop and MOT documentation
·Carrying out minor repairs where required
·Road testing vehicles following repairs when necessary
·Maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction
About You
This opportunity would suit an MOT Tester / Vehicle Tester / Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic who has:
·NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
·A valid MOT Tester Licence
·Previous experience carrying out MOT testing and vehicle inspections
·Experience with servicing and light mechanical repairs
·A full UK Driving Licence
·Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
·A positive attitude and willingness to develop through manufacturer training
