MOT Technician

Our client, a reputable automotive service centre group with multiple sites across Southern England, is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join their team in Shaftesbury.

The Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester role offers a competitive salary between -36,000 and -38,000 per annum, dependent on experience, along with additional quarterly bonuses based on performance.

The position involves working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm, with one in two Saturdays from 8:30am to 4:00pm. Key duties of the Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester include:

• Servicing, maintenance, and repairs of customer vehicles to manufacturer and Ministry standards.
• Conducting MOT tests in compliance with MOT testing regulations.
• Supporting the workshop team with general repair tasks.
• Assisting at the front reception occasionally to handle customer enquiries.
• Producing high-quality work within specified time frames.
• Adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies.

The ideal professional will have proven experience as a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester, whether through continued employment or apprenticeship.

A valid MOT licence and a UK driving licence with minimal points are highly advantageous.

Vehicle Technician / MOT Testers should reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Salisbury and possess a friendly, approachable manner, with the ability to work efficiently within a team.
