MOT Technician

We are recruiting on behalf of a respected family-run service centre in Aldershot for the position of Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester. This MOT Technician role offers an excellent opportunity for skilled automotive Vehicle Technician / MOT Testers to join a stable and friendly environment with a renowned local business.

• Monday to Friday working hours, from 8am to 5pm, with no weekends or bank holidays

Duties:

• Conduct Class 4 MOT tests on cars and light vans in compliance with DVSA standards
• Perform routine vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and repairs as required
• Maintain accurate documentation of all vehicle test results and service records
• Ensure all MOT activities adhere to DVSA MOT Testing Scheme guidelines
• Maintain the cleanliness and operational status of MOT bay equipment
• Support vehicle health checks, safety inspections, and post-repair assessments
• Assist during vehicle diagnostics and additional examinations when required
• Uphold the safety, security, and integrity of the MOT scheme at all times
• Deliver high standards of customer service and technical expertise within the team

Requirements:

• Fully qualified MOT Tester with a valid Class 4 certification
• Previous experience conducting MOT tests on cars and light vans
• Basic knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and repairs
• Ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced automotive environment
• Excellent attention to detail and adherence to safety standards
• Valid MOT Tester’s certificate, or a recent qualification for re-examination
• Proactive attitude with a commitment to quality and compliance
