MOT Technician

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable main dealer group in Manchester, for the position of Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester. The Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester role offers a competitive basic salary of -32,000, with additional earnings potential, including an extra -1,000 per year for holding a valid MOT licence. The MOT Technician role provides a realistic OTE of -36,000 to -42,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Duties as a MOT Technician:

• Service, repair, and maintain a variety of vehicles to high standards
• Complete MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations
• Conduct vehicle health checks and produce supporting videos
• Accurately diagnose faults and deliver quality workmanship
• Communicate effectively with workshop supervisors and service advisors
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work environment
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Motor Vehicle Technology (IMI, City & Guilds)
• Proven diagnostic and repair skills
• Previous experience in a main dealer or independent garage environment
• Full UK driving licence
• A proactive, professional attitude with a commitment to quality
