Do you want to play a key role in monitoring and optimising the performance of one of the UK''s largest portfolios of solar assets, working closely with technical and operational teams to identify issues and drive asset performance?

This established renewable energy business operates over 450MW of ground-mounted photovoltaic assets across the UK and is part of a wider European organisation managing more than 1.6GW of renewable energy assets across five countries. With continued growth and a strong focus on maximising plant efficiency, they are looking to appoint a motivated Monitoring and Data Analyst to join their growing Operations team in Birmingham.

In this role, you''ll be responsible for the remote monitoring and analysis of solar farm performance across multiple platforms. You''ll manage and triage system alarms, track key performance indicators, analyse operational data and coordinate with Project Managers and field teams to support fault diagnosis and corrective actions.

You''ll also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of data-driven reporting solutions, support solar farm communication networks and maintain asset information within the company''s CMMS. This is a varied position that combines data analysis, operational monitoring and technical problem-solving within an exciting renewable energy environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, advanced Excel experience and the ability to work confidently with large datasets. Experience within the photovoltaic or renewable energy sector would be advantageous, although candidates with strong transferable analytical skills are encouraged to apply.

• Remotely monitor and analyse the performance of solar farms using multiple monitoring platforms.
• Manage and triage system alarms, ensuring faults are identified and escalated promptly.
• Calculate, track and report key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Work closely with Project Managers and field teams to support fault diagnosis and corrective actions.
• Collect, validate, analyse and report operational and performance data.

• Advanced Excel skills with experience analysing large datasets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a wider team.
