Money / Welfare Advice Specialist
We are recruiting for the role of Money/Welfare Advice Specialist in social housing in Manchester. Experience in a similar role is essential.This is a temp role until June, hybrid with 2 days in the office (occasional travel for meetings may be required) and Monday to Friday hours.The hourly rate is between £18.50 and £20.20 with the option to be paid PAYE or Umbrella.Your new roleYou''ll play a key part in supporting customers to improve their financial wellbeing, maximise their income and sustain their tenancies. Working closely with neighbourhood teams and external partners, you''ll provide practical, person-centred money advice that helps residents navigate welfare benefits, manage debt and build long-term financial stability. What you''ll need to succeedA solid understanding of welfare benefits, income-related legislation and housing processes, alongside experience supporting vulnerable customers in challenging situations. You''ll be confident working independently, managing referrals, advocating for residents and building strong partnerships with agencies such as DWP, local authorities and community services. Strong communication, problem-solving and IT skills are essential.
