Supply Desk is working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school inandnbsp;Sloughandnbsp;to appoint an enthusiastic Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher for a full-time role starting in September 2025. This long-term position runs through to December 2025, with a strong possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.
You will be joining a supportive and well-established MFL department, delivering engaging lessons in French and/or Spanish across Key Stages 3 and 4, while fostering studentsandrsquo; language skills, cultural awareness, and confidence in communication.
Applications are encouraged from both experienced language teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with a genuine passion for international education.
About the Role:
- Design and deliver engaging, high-quality MFL lessons that motivate and challenge learners
- Differentiate teaching approaches to support diverse learning needs and abilities
- Promote a classroom culture that values curiosity, respect, and a love of languages
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance
- Enrich the wider school community through extracurricular language activities, including clubs and educational visits
The ideal candidate will:
- Degree in French, Spanish, or a closely related discipline (essential)
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification (desirable)
- Proven experience teaching Modern Foreign Languages at Key Stages 3 and 4
- Enthusiasm for language teaching and promoting cultural understanding
- Excellent classroom management and strong communication skills
