We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher to join our team in Aylesbury from September. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching French across Key Stages 3 to 5. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire a lifelong love of languages and culture, while playing a key role in the academic achievement and personal growth of our students.



About the Role:


  • Plan and deliver engaging, interactive French lessons that meet the diverse needs and abilities of all students.
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters enthusiasm for language learning and cultural appreciation.
  • Utilise a range of effective teaching strategies and resourcesandmdash;including communicative activities, multimedia tools, and authentic materialsandmdash;to support language acquisition.
  • Regularly assess student progress using both formative and summative methods, providing constructive feedback to aid their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement a cohesive Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) curriculum tailored to a wide range of learners.
  • Contribute to the wider school community by organising and participating in extracurricular activities such as language clubs, cultural events, and international exchanges to enrich studentsandrsquo; linguistic and cultural experiences.



The ideal candidate will:


  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • A degree in Modern Foreign Languages or a closely related discipline.
  • High level of proficiency in French, with the ability to teach the language to a high standard.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Modern Foreign Languages at the secondary school level, with a proven track record of strong student outcomes.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and a genuine passion for fostering language learning and intercultural understanding.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to establish a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a proactive approach to contributing to wider school initiatives.
