Modelling and Simulation Engineer (Consultant)

Our client is seeking a Simulation and Modelling Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering team, developing advanced models and simulations that support the analysis, design and validation of complex systems within defence and security environments.This role performs the development, integration and validation of mathematical and physics-based models using MATLAB and Simulink, working closely with engineers and scientists to solve complex technical challenges and support engineering decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain simulation and modelling solutions for complex engineering systemsCreate physics-based models to analyse system behaviour and interactionsSupport system design, analysis and validation activities through modelling and simulationWork within model-based systems engineering (MBSE) environments and methodologiesDevelop and maintain test benches to support verification and validation activitiesParticipate in code reviews and model reviews to ensure technical quality and consistencyCollaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams on system architecture and performance assessmentsSupport the development of innovative solutions for complex defence and security challengesThe ideal candidate would have:Experience developing physics-based models of engineering systemsExperience working within model-based systems engineering environmentsUnderstanding of systems engineering principles, processes and system ..... full job details .....
